Maybe you've asked yourself this before: What is it like to participate in an international tournament? Felix from Berlin wrote an article about it called “Die VDCH-Klassenfahrt nach Amsterdam“. In this article, he writes about what it was like to travel to Amsterdam with other people from German clubs and take part as a native German speaker.
Upcoming Tournaments in Germany
Debattierclub München e.V. | Transrapid (München)On the 16th and 17th of January 2024, we are hosting a German-Speaking novice tournament in Munich. Teams with less than 10 months of debating experience are going to compete in this tournament. |
Rederei e.V. Heidelberg | HeidelBämbini (Heidelberg)On the 20th of January 2024, the Rederei Heidelberg is hosting a German-speaking OPD novice tournament. Teams will consist of one Pro and two Newcomers (less than 12 months of debating experience). |
Upcoming International Tournaments
Copenhagen Debating Society | Copenhagen Open 2024 (Denmark)Copenhagen Debating Society is hosting an English-speaking BP tournament from 2nd to 4th of February 2024. |
Win at Ironwoman Tournament in Münster
At the Ironwoman tournament in Münster, each team consists of only one speaker, who holds both speeches for the team. Jola Schmidt from Munich achieved to break to the final and win the tournament. At the Nikolausturnier that immediately followed, Jola also made it into the final in a mixed team with Hansenberg.
Novice Team at Bayerische Meisterschaften in Nürnberg
We sent a whole team of newcomers to the Bavarian Championships. The team consisted of Jan-Phillip, Jonathan and Magnus. Max S. accompanied them as a judge and Maximilian and Mirza competed in mixed teams together with people from other clubs.
